OVERVIEW.
PROBLEM:
Lack of digital tools to communicate a powerful mission
Harvesting Hope Acres is a newly forming nonprofit with a bold, inclusive vision: to build an accessible, working farm where individuals with disabilities can grow, learn, and thrive. While they’ve secured land, community support, and early momentum, they lacked a cohesive digital presence. Their existing website was not reflective of the heart behind their mission—it was outdated, limited in function, and failed to capture the emotional depth or practical value of what they’re building. Without a strong online platform, they couldn’t effectively reach families, recruit volunteers, share progress, or secure much-needed funding.
PROPOSED SOLUTION:
A modern, accessible website to elevate their mission and grow their community
Sitewave Studio partnered with Harvesting Hope Acres to create a purpose-driven, multi-page website designed in Framer. The new site is clean, modern, emotionally compelling, and strategically structured to meet their current and future needs. We implemented a CMS (content management system) that allows their team to post updates as the farm progresses, publish blog articles on farming, disability advocacy, and community-building, and connect authentically with their audience. This CMS empowers the organization to keep their content fresh, educational, and personal.
From volunteer signups to donation functionality and social sharing tools, every feature was built to grow engagement and deepen support. In addition, we offered a visual identity refresh, including a new logo design that better communicates their values of hope, dignity, and inclusion.
KEY CONCEPTS:
1. Accessibility-first mindset
Just as the farm is designed to be fully accessible, the website follows best practices in digital accessibility—ensuring screen-reader compatibility, clear navigation, color contrast, and inclusive content.
2. Modular storytelling through pages
Rather than one long scroll, we introduced a multi-page layout to give breathing room to their story. Key sections—like their mission, programs, ways to help, and blog—are clearly separated but visually unified, so visitors can explore deeply without feeling overwhelmed.
3. Purposeful, emotion-driven design
Soft, earthy tones, hopeful imagery, and copy that speaks from the heart help connect users to the human side of the mission. Every element is designed to reflect authenticity, trust, and a sense of belonging.
4. CMS-powered growth
We built the site with a scalable CMS, so the team can easily update content as the organization grows. Whether they’re posting construction updates, announcing new programs, or publishing blog posts, they’re in full control—no tech background required.
5. Community connection tools
The site makes it easy for supporters to get involved: volunteer sign-up forms, social media share prompts, donation buttons, and future e-commerce integration for farm-made goods. We’ve made space for their community to show up and make a difference.
6. Brand refresh
We created a new logo and visual identity system that reflects warmth, approachability, and a modern nonprofit ethos. The updated look gives Harvesting Hope Acres a professional yet heartfelt presence across print, digital, and social channels.
